1. Product Overview
UR6AV is a dedicated digital I/O expansion module for GE Multilin UR modular universal relay protection platform, which can be hot-swapped and inserted into the expansion slot of UR main relay rack to expand the quantity of digital input and relay output points of the whole protection device.
The module integrates 8 groups of optically isolated digital input circuits, which are used to collect auxiliary contact signals of circuit breakers, isolating switches, grounding switches and other primary equipment in the substation, and upload the equipment position state to the main CPU for logic judgment. It is equipped with 6 multi-standard relay output contacts, including 2 fast-response Form-A normally open contacts (response speed ≤4ms) with optional current/voltage monitoring, and 4 Form-C SPDT changeover contacts, which can output trip signals, alarm signals and remote control closing/opening signals to drive external circuit breakers, alarm lights and auxiliary relays.
Built-in GE exclusive FlexLogic programmable logic engine, supports up to 1024 lines of custom logic programming, which can realize interlock protection, sequential trip and multi-condition logic linkage. Each input and output channel is equipped with independent LED status indicators and hardware self-diagnosis circuit, which can quickly identify contact failure, open circuit and abnormal load faults, and record SOE event sequence with millisecond time stamp for post-fault analysis.
It cannot operate independently and must be matched with UR series main CPU module (UR9EV, UR9AH, etc.), power supply module and rack backplane to form a complete relay protection device. Widely used in thermal power, petrochemical, hydropower and urban distribution substation generator, transformer, feeder line protection cabinets as I/O signal expansion spare parts for old UR protection systems.
